Of DJM Dog Boarding

Dale and Jane Martenson (DJM), have been married for 26 years,
having met at a dog show in South Dakota.
Jane was born and raised on the Sand Lake Wildlife Refuge in South Dakota
and the National Wildlife Research Center in North Dakota
and has spent her whole life around animals of virtually every kind.
She attended National College for Veterinary Tech training,
and worked for 10 years in that venue.

Dale started off his career training his first obedience dog to a CD title,
at the tender age of 10. He grew up in the beautiful Black Hills where
his parents still reside. Dale is a master groomer and superb show dog handler.
They have lived in Texas since 1983. Dale and Jane have spent over 26 years
in the pet care industry. They enjoy showing their own dogs and have finished
well over 200 AKC Champions, Best In Show Dogs, and Westminster Best of Breed Winners
in their 26 years together, handling client dogs as well as their own.
During this time they have had much success in their grooming salons,
where their love of animals is apparent and pets are treated like their own.
Their latest passion has been taking their therapy dogs to local nursing homes every month.

We cater to an elite clientele and are committed to delivering five star service for pets.
When it comes to numbers of dogs boarded, we believe that bigger isn't ever better.
We save "bigger" for our facility itself. Our 3000 square foot "dog house"
has only 30 condos. We have generous sized covered porches, and an acre to run on outside.
We hope to be a benchmark for which all kennels are measured.
Our goal is for our clients to rest assured their four legged kids staying with us
are having a vacation too! Knowing your Buddy is safe and happy, you'll have
one less thing to worry about and enjoy a guilt-free vacation, (except for your diet of course)!
At DJM we understand that you may not want to leave your furry family member
at a veterinary clinic with little attention, sick animals, or a
solitary-confinement boarding kennel where your baby is warehoused,
staying on smelly concrete for the duration of the stay. That's why we are so excited
to offer a guilt-free, CAGE-FREE, fun alternative to conventional boarding.
We are literally a home away from home for your precious pet.
We offer one premium service for ALL guests with a safe, comfortable, CLEAN,
home-like environment. All fur kids are number one. For example, unlike some kennels,
you don't pay extra for a biscuit while the other pooches go without.
All guests enjoy freedom, human and canine interaction, treats and play all day long.
In the evening, spacious canine condos, a bedtime snack, and toys from home
ensure your best friend a comfortable nights rest. Multiple pets may sleep
together if requested. All guests receive a fresh bath for only $15.00.
